Behind The Scenes of IRIS, a short film directed by Michael J. Keplinger, shot in December 2021 and again in Summer 2023, which premiered last week, on May 2, 2024 at the Crossing Europe film festival in Linz.
This short film took about two and half years to finish. It went through various cuts, color grades, aspect ratios, music scores, even reshoots and several attempts at funding. There are so many little touch ups and minor additions it’s gotten hard to keep up. And somehow the world got over a pandemic quicker than I managed to finish this film.
And it still wouldn’t be finished had it not been for Simona Ascher, Sophie Schaller and Niklas Strahammer who stuck around or returned to an at times seemingly never-ending project. Thank you. — Michael J. Keplinger via Instagram
