Well, that was fun… The majority of our short film IRIS’ festival run has concluded. Starting things off, Crossing Europe premiered the film in their Local Artists selection on May 2, 2024. After that, IRIS got to be a finalist at Flatness Film Awards. As well as a 6-time winner and 3-time nominee at VÖFA championships.
On June 9, IRIS was awarded the prestigious Creative Video Award by the Zawinul Foundation For Achievement.
And finally, October proved to be a busy month as well: On October 4, IRIS was awarded Best Horror 2024 at the Austrian Filmfestival in Vienna, where Julia Stipsits gave us our most cherished review to date (in sign language in reference to the film’s titular character).
IRIS then made its way to the endlessly fun – and delightfully bloody – Fright Nights horror film festival on October 18. And after a quick stop at Colombia’s Festival Cortos Para Tiempos Largos it finally came to rest on YouTube for its online premiere on October 25.
Let’s do that again sometime.
