A journey into the origins of a comic book legend has begun.
With the release of the very first issue of Phantom – Die Klassiker by publisher ART:9, the Phantom’s original story is now available in German for the first time—uncut, authentic, and restored in great details.
The series is dedicated to the early adventures of the Phantom, written by Lee Falk and illustrated by Ray Moore from 1936 onwards. Many of these strips have never been published in German, or only in heavily altered form. With a carefully modernized translation and new lettering, this new Phantom series brings these timeless adventures back in the best possible quality.
Michael J. Keplinger spearheaded the development of this release, aiming to preserve the original fascination and visual force of these classics while making them accessible to a new readership.
