His films have been showcased internationally at 40+ film festivals where they have garnered praise for their unique storytelling and audiovisual expression.
As a musician, Michael J. Keplinger released his debut single digitally and on Limited 7″ Vinyl in 2024. Collectively, his work is recognized for its quiet intensity, and has received 20+ awards.

Michael studied Graphic & Communication Design in Linz and Media Technology in St. Pölten, and currently resides in Vienna. Whenever not working on new music or a film project of his own, Michael serves as a sound designer, set recordist, music producer, or director-for-hire for other projects. He’s a university lecturer and runs MJK media, while also serving as editor for comic publisher ART:9.
