Hallway is an experimental film written and directed by Niklas Strahammer, and spiritual successor of Strahammer’s Living Room.
Shot in March 2025, the film features Gerhard Strahammer as a troubled man is trying to find peace. Alexandra Bogner served as gaffer, with abstract sound design by Michael J. Keplinger. The experimental film marks a new entry in the storied collaboration between Strahammer and Keplinger, who have worked together on numerous occasions, including Allerseelen, BLOOM/RABBIT, Passing Through and Iris.
A 12-second cut of the film is set to be screened at Die Landjäger Kürzestfilm Festspiele 2025 in Vienna, Austria, on 18 June 2025. Elendiger Bär, another 12-second short film by Niklas Strahammer, and featuring sound by Michael J. Keplinger as well, will be screened at the festival as well.
