Hallway is an experimental film written and directed by Niklas Strahammer, and spiritual successor of Strahammer’s Living Room.
Shot in March 2025, Niklas Strahammer’s short film Hallway features Gerhard Strahammer as a troubled man is trying to find peace. Alexandra Bogner served as gaffer, with abstract sound design by Michael J. Keplinger. The experimental film marks a new entry in the storied collaboration between Strahammer and Keplinger, who have worked together on numerous occasions, including Allerseelen, BLOOM/RABBIT, Passing Through and Iris.
A 12-second cut of the film is set to be screened at Die Landjäger Kürzestfilm Festspiele 2025 in Vienna, Austria, on 18 June 2025. Elendiger Bär, another 12-second short film by Niklas Strahammer, and featuring sound by Michael J. Keplinger as well, will be screened at the festival as well.
