Allerseelen

Short Film / 2 November 2021

Allerseelen is a horror short film directed by Michael J. Keplinger, starring Magdalena Mayr and Florentina Leitner.

Rendered in black and white and reduced in language, Allerseelen is the retelling of an actual nightmare. It therefore places the exploration of this dream state above a concrete and coherent narrative structure.

Simona Ascher co-wrote the story with Michael J. Keplinger, while Niklas Strahammer served as director of Photography. Along with Alexandra Bogner, who co-produced the film, this core team would later also work on IRIS together.

The short film was released digitally on November 2, 2021 and premiered on April 28, 2022 at the Crossing Europe film festival in Linz, Austria. The horror short film Allerseelen has since won several awards including Best Horror/Thriller Film at the Austrian Filmfestival in Vienna, Austria.
