Ahead of the release of a live video from his show at The Loft, MJK performed in Vienna on 28 March at Amerlinghaus and again for the recorded show on 1 April.
During his introduction at the Amerlinghaus show, MJK noted that the set came together on just 12 hours’ notice after a last-minute cancellation. The performance delivered an intimate guitar-and-vocals set, featuring covers such as How Deep Is Your Love and Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out.
The Loft performance on 1 April was the first to feature Simon Thut—of Austrian punk rock band Anti-Kontra—who has taken over bass duties for upcoming live performances. The duo presented a mix of covers alongside the MJK original track Pick Up Your Cross (and follow me). Photographer Patricia Melicha of pfilm.at documented the evening.
